Our client in Nairobi, Kenya in the quick service restaurant industry is recruiting for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for controlling and verifying financial transactions while monitoring business trends at respective centres. Additionally, they will prepare financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, tax returns and assisting with audit preparations.

• Tax Compliance, Planning, Reporting and Advisory
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Treasury Reporting and Reconciliation
• Internal controls and risk management
• Team Leadership and Mentorship
• Financial advisory and decision support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional qualifications such as CFA/ CPA/ ACCA
• Strong analytical, communication (both verbal and written) and computer skills
• Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge in MS Excel
• Firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations
• At least 5 years practical work experience in accounting/ finance including accounting software/programs
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
